Paint correction for BMW in Houston
Paint correction on a BMW takes patience more than aggression.
How we approach a BMW
Paint correction on a BMW takes patience more than aggression. The clear coat is harder than on many Japanese and American cars, so a swirled black 5 Series or X5 often needs a proper two-step: a cutting stage to level the wash marring and a finishing polish to bring back clarity. The upside is that corrected BMW paint holds its finish well. Every panel is measured first, because plenty of BMWs in Houston have had a bumper or door refinished after a parking-lot scrape, and respray panels read and behave differently from factory paint. The sharp shoulder lines on newer cars, the hood edges and the tight areas around the kidney grille are worked with a small pad and a lighter touch. Carbon fiber roofs and mirror caps on M cars are clear-coated and can be refined; Frozen matte paint is never polished at all. Correction is done at the shop in Katy, and most owners finish with the long-term coating.
BMW paint
BMW clear coat is on the harder side: swirls take more work to remove, but a corrected finish stays sharp. Black Sapphire, Carbon Black and Brooklyn Grey are everywhere here, and the Individual Frozen colors are matte and need their own process.
