Gloss cars are a different story. The bright greens, oranges and yellows Lamborghini is known for show holograms and buffer trails under shop lights, and gloss black shows everything. Those cars are measured panel by panel and refined with a finishing polish wherever possible, because the angular body has many sharp creases where clear coat is thinnest. Clear PPF is not polished like paint either: light marks in self-healing film often relax with warmth, and badly scratched film is a replacement job for an installer. Correction happens at the shop in Katy, and gloss cars almost always finish with the five-to-seven-year coating.
