The second is an older Mustang, Explorer or F-150 whose roof and hood have dulled after years parked outside. On the aluminum-bodied F-150 and Super Duty the clear coat behaves like any other, so the process is the same: measure the paint, make a test spot, then use the least aggressive pad and polish that gets the result. Big trucks take longer simply because of panel size, and the work is done at the shop in Katy under inspection lighting. Older Fords with clear coat that has already started to peel are a different story; we will say on the test spot whether polishing helps or whether the panel needs a body shop. Most corrected Fords finish with a ceramic coating so the result lasts through the next summer.
