Fords are the default vehicle in a lot of Katy and Cypress driveways: an F-150 or Super Duty for work and towing, an Explorer or Expedition for the family, and a Mustang kept in the garage for Sunday drives. Most of what we book on them is practical. Trucks get the mud and tar taken off and the cab reset, family SUVs get the crumbs and spilled drinks dealt with, and newer black or dark blue trucks get a coating before the sun gets to them.
Paint
Ford clear coat sits in the middle for hardness. Black, dark blue and dark grey trucks show wash marring quickly on the big flat hood and tailgate. Aluminum-bodied F-150s and Super Duties are painted and polished like any steel truck.
Interiors
Ford interiors run from hard-wearing cloth and vinyl on work trucks to saddle-brown King Ranch leather and quilted Platinum seats. Big touchscreens, glossy center stacks on newer models and textured plastics that fade grey in the sun are the common themes.
