Paint and exterior

Older Gallardo paint has usually been polished, sometimes resprayed, and orange or yellow cars can fade on the hood and roof. The black grilles and lower panels go grey, and headlight lenses haze.

Interior

The leather here is often fifteen or more years old and dry, so it is cleaned and conditioned gently. Audi-sourced switchgear and the gear selector area collect grime in their gaps.

Living in Houston

A Gallardo bought from out of state or after years in storage usually needs the whole reset: a deep clean inside, correction outside and a check of yellowed film and headlight lenses.

• Older plastic headlights yellow in the sun: headlight restoration is an add-on worth asking about.
• Unpainted textured trim: it fades grey in the sun, so it is cleaned and dressed with a matte UV protectant.
• Exposed carbon fiber: clear-coated carbon is polished like paint; satin carbon is cleaned and protected, never polished.
