How we approach a Nissan

Most Nissans we work on are family and commuter vehicles bought on the S or SV trim, which means cloth seats, and that decides how the interior detail goes. Nissan's grey and charcoal fabrics hide a stain until the sun hits it, so every seat is checked under light and spot-treated, and we will say on the day if the cloth needs the shampoo extraction add-on. On a Rogue the cargo floor boards lift out and the sand underneath comes out with them. On a Pathfinder or Armada the second-row captain's chairs and the third row get the same attention as the front, because that is where the snacks end up. Frontier and Titan crew cabs get the mud brushed out of the carpet before it is vacuumed, and the floor mats are scrubbed separately. Newer models with glossy black console trim are wiped with plush microfiber only, and leather on SL and Platinum trims is cleaned and conditioned. It is all done mobile, in your driveway or at your office, in about two hours for most models.

Nissan paint is average in hardness and on the thin side. Older reds, blacks and dark blues are known for clear coat that fades and lifts on the roof and hood after enough Texas summers, while pearl white tends to hold up best.
