Light blue, white and silver are common. The front end and charge port door collect bugs, and early cars parked outside have dull, oxidized roofs that a one-step polish usually brings back before they are sealed.
Interior
Early Leafs have light fabric that stains easily and a lot of grey plastic. Later cars have darker cloth or leather. The steering wheel and seat belts collect grime that most owners never notice.
Living in Houston
Leafs are commuter cars: the windshield picks up hard water from apartment sprinklers and the nose picks up love bugs on I-10 in May and September.
- Electric: there is no engine bay, but the frunk, charge port door and underbody plastics get cleaned, and washing an EV is completely safe.
- Light-colored seats are popular: denim dye transfer and sunscreen stains are cleaned early, before they set in the heat.
- Older plastic headlights yellow in the sun: headlight restoration is an add-on worth asking about.
