How we approach a Jeep

Jeep interiors range further than almost any brand, and the interior detail changes to match. A Wrangler or Gladiator that has been to Bolivar with the top off comes back with sand in the seat tracks, in the seatbelt retractors and under the rubber mats, plus a damp smell if a summer storm caught it open. We blow out every seam, pull the drain plugs where fitted, clean the soft-touch and rubberized surfaces without a greasy dressing, and treat water-stained cloth before it mildews. Grand Cherokee and Wagoneer owners are at the other end: quilted Nappa or Palermo leather, open-pore wood, a passenger screen and several rows to clean, with light interiors that pick up denim dye on the driver's bolster. Those get a pH-balanced leather cleaner, a soft brush in the quilting and a screen-safe product on every display. Pet hair from trail dogs and shampoo extraction for muddy carpets are add-ons, quoted on the call. All of it is done mobile, wherever the Jeep is parked.

Bright colors like orange, yellow, green and blue are popular on Wranglers and show sun fade on flat hoods. Unpainted fender flares and bumpers on many Jeeps turn gray without a UV dressing.
