The fifth generation has boomerang-shaped running lights and a glossy black mesh grille that traps bugs and pollen. The large flat side panels show water spots on dark colors, and the X-Pro trims add thick black fender cladding.
Interior
Cloth on base trims, SynTex on many mid trims, and a curved twin-screen panel with touch climate controls on the latest cars. The back seat is big enough that crumbs and dog hair spread across a wide floor.
Living in Houston
Parked under oaks in older neighborhoods, a Sportage fills its grille and cowl with pollen and leaves in spring; in new subdivisions it is construction dust. Both build up where the hood meets the windshield.
