Kia Seltos detailing in Houston
The Seltos is the small, squared-off Kia SUV that slots under the Sportage, popular with commuters who want all-wheel drive without the size.
Paint and interior on the Seltos
Paint and exterior
A boxy shape with a chrome or dark grille surround and contrasting roof options on some trims. The black plastic lower trim and wheel arches fade, and the brighter colors show bug stains clearly after a highway trip.
Interior
Cloth on most trims and SynTex on upper ones, in a small but tall cabin. The upright dash has a horizontal screen with hard plastic below it that scuffs from shoes and bags.
Living in Houston
Plenty of Seltos owners park at apartments and offices around Westchase. Sun on the dash and hard-water spots on the glass are the usual complaints, along with sweat and spills soaked into the cloth.
- Unpainted textured trim: it fades grey in the sun, so it is cleaned and dressed with a matte UV protectant.
- Cloth seats on many trims: spot-treated in every interior detail, with shampoo extraction as an add-on when they need it.
- Soft clear coat: it marks from a dirty towel or an automatic wash, so every wash is two-bucket with clean mitts, and polishing finishes down with a fine pad.
What a Seltos costs to detail
The Seltos is priced as mid suv / small truck. Prices are by vehicle size and assume normal condition. Heavy pet hair, sand, mold, smoke or neglected paint is quoted on the call, before anything is booked. No surprises on the day.

Seltos generations: what to know
2021 to present · first generation
Launched for 2021, with a refresh for 2024 that updated the lights and the dash screen. Cloth seats and hard plastics are simple to clean but stain if spills are left in the heat.
