Paint and exterior

The current Sorento has a long, squared-off body with chrome or dark trim depending on the trim level. The lower doors and rear bumper collect road film, and the X-Line cars add black cladding that fades grey.

Interior

Two or three rows, cloth on base cars and SynTex or leather higher up. The third row folds into the cargo floor and hides crumbs in its hinges, and many current cars have a rotary shifter in a glossy console.

Living in Houston

Sorentos on Fort Bend toll roads and school routes pick up construction dust and pollen. Families heading to Surfside bring back sand in the third-row floor and a salt film on the lower panels.
