Cadillac Lyriq detailing in Houston
The Lyriq is Cadillac's first mainstream EV, a two-row crossover with a lit grille and a wide curved screen, now common in Sugar Land and Katy.
Paint and interior on the Lyriq
Paint and exterior
A smooth, low-roofed body with flush handles and long doors. Contrasting black roofs are common, and the illuminated front panel is a plastic face that scratches if it is wiped dry, so it is cleaned wet with a soft mitt.
Interior
A curved display spanning the dash, a large glass roof, and leather or synthetic seats. Laser-cut trim and speaker grilles hold dust that needs a soft brush rather than a towel.
Living in Houston
Charged at home, a Lyriq never meets a gas-station squeegee, but its glass roof collects pollen and sprinkler spots, and the black roof bakes in July.
- Electric: there is no engine bay, but the frunk, charge port door and underbody plastics get cleaned, and washing an EV is completely safe.
- Large glass roof: Houston water leaves mineral spots on it, so it is cleaned inside and out and suits the glass coating add-on.
- Large touchscreens: cleaned with a screen-safe, ammonia-free product and a dedicated cloth.
- Black and dark colors are common: they show swirls, water spots and pollen film first, and benefit most from a coating.
What a Lyriq costs to detail
The Lyriq is priced as mid suv / small truck. Prices are by vehicle size and assume normal condition. Heavy pet hair, sand, mold, smoke or neglected paint is quoted on the call, before anything is booked. No surprises on the day.
