A long, formal body with a wide grille, bright window trim and Thor's hammer lights. The long hood and trunk lid show swirls on black and dark blue, and the bright trim spots from hard water.

Interior

Nappa leather in light colors, open-pore wood and a huge rear seat. The back seat is cleaned as carefully as the front, and the wood is never dressed with glossy products.

S90s are commuter and executive cars, parked in hot lots or garages near the Galleria and the Energy Corridor, where the leather dries and the dash bakes without care.

• Light-colored seats are popular: denim dye transfer and sunscreen stains are cleaned early, before they set in the heat.
• Lots of chrome: Houston hard water etches it, so it is dried fully, polished where needed and sealed.
• Black and dark colors are common: they show swirls, water spots and pollen film first, and benefit most from a coating.
