The EQE is the E-Class-sized electric Mercedes, sold as a sedan and a taller SUV, and both arrived in Houston for 2023.

A rounded, cab-forward shape with a black panel front that hides sensors. The sedan has a short conventional trunk lid, while the SUV's tailgate and roof collect road spray. Grey and white are common.
Interior
MB-Tex or leather with an optional Hyperscreen and plenty of open-pore wood or gloss trim. The flat floor and wide open console tray collect phones, charging cables, receipts and crumbs.
Living in Houston
An EQE commuting on I-10 picks up love bugs across its smooth front in May and September; on a nose packed with sensors they need to come off gently and soon.
- Electric: there is no engine bay, but the frunk, charge port door and underbody plastics get cleaned, and washing an EV is completely safe.
- Hard clear coat: swirls take more cutting to remove, so correction is slower, but a corrected finish holds up well afterwards.
- Large touchscreens: cleaned with a screen-safe, ammonia-free product and a dedicated cloth.
- Synthetic leather: it does not need conditioner, just a gentle cleaner and a matte protectant so it does not go shiny.
