A tall body and long roof mean the top half rarely gets a careful wash, so swirls and water spots collect up there. Older Sequoias carry a lot of chrome; the newest have big black grilles and lower trim that fades if left bare.
Interior
Three rows, captain's chairs or a bench, leather on most trims. The newest generation has a sliding third row and an adjustable cargo shelf, and the small gaps around both gather crumbs and sand.
Living in Houston
School runs on weekdays and boat trips on weekends: lake water dries into mineral spots on the tailgate, and wet swimsuits leave the second-row carpet damp and musty in the heat.
