Tall, flat body sides and a long roof add up to a lot of paint, and the upright tailgate collects road film thrown up by the rear wheels. Wind Chill Pearl, black and gray are common, and black lower trim runs all the way around.

Interior

A third row adults can sit in means adults and teenagers sit in it, spill on it and drop crumbs into its seat tracks. SofTex or leather on most trims, with a lot of USB ports and cupholders to blow out.

Living in Houston

Many were bought new in master-planned communities like Elyson and Bridgeland and live next to active construction, so fine dust settles on the paint and in the door seals within days of a wash.

• Third row and cargo area: both are included, which is why three-row vehicles sit in the larger size class.
• Family hauler: car-seat areas, cupholders and seat rails hold the most crumbs; pet hair is an add-on quoted on the call.
