Black, Army Green, Lunar Rock and Super White are common, plus brighter TRD Pro colors. Brush on trails leaves fine scratches down the sides that usually polish out, and the black fender flares and running boards fade gray fast.
Interior
Fabric on base trims, SofTex on SR5 Premium and TRD grades, leather on Limited. The cargo area and the optional sliding cargo deck collect sand and mud, and the roll-down rear window channel holds grit and leaves.
Living in Houston
Bolivar and Surfside beach runs leave sand in every carpet seam and a salt film on the glass, and red clay from lease roads north of town stains the lower doors and rockers.
- Sees dirt roads and lease land: mud is softened and rinsed before any mitt touches the paint, and wheel wells are cleaned out.
- Unpainted textured trim: it fades grey in the sun, so it is cleaned and dressed with a matte UV protectant.
- Black and dark colors are common: they show swirls, water spots and pollen film first, and benefit most from a coating.
