Paint and exterior

The low nose collects bugs and stone chips, and the wide rear haunches take grit off the rear tires, so PPF on the front end and rear arches is common. Frozen Blue and the brighter colors are popular and hide swirls better than black.

Interior

Up to four screens including an optional passenger display, a haptic center panel and leather-free upholstery options. The seats sit low behind wide sills, so the outer bolsters wear first from sliding in and out.

Living in Houston

A Taycan on the Westpark Tollway every day picks up road tar and brake dust on the lower panels, and the charge port doors on both front fenders get grimy from handling at public chargers.

• Often wears PPF or a wrap: film edges get a coating-safe wash, no clay on the film, and the film can be ceramic coated too.
• Large touchscreens: cleaned with a screen-safe, ammonia-free product and a dedicated cloth.
• Large glass roof: Houston water leaves mineral spots on it, so it is cleaned inside and out and suits the glass coating add-on.
• Low front splitter: we work on level ground and keeps equipment clear of the nose.
• Electric: there is no engine bay, but the frunk, charge port door and underbody plastics get cleaned, and washing an EV is completely safe.
