Porsche 911 detailing in Houston
The 911 has been the center of Porsche for over sixty years, and Houston owners range from air-cooled 993 collectors to people who take a GT3 to MSR Houston.
Paint and interior on the 911
Paint and exterior
The rear-engine shape puts wide rear fenders right where tire spray and grit hit, and the nose and headlights take stone chips. Many 911s wear front-end or full-body PPF, and GT models have aero pieces and wings that need careful work around every edge.
Interior
Leather, Race-Tex and contrast stitching are common, and GT cars may have carbon bucket seats. The gaps around the shifter and the door pockets collect fine dust that needs a soft brush.
Living in Houston
A 911 driven on dry weekends needs little more than safe washing, but one that runs to the Hill Country comes back with bugs on the film and tar along the rockers.
- Hard clear coat: swirls take more cutting to remove, so correction is slower, but a corrected finish holds up well afterwards.
- Often wears PPF or a wrap: film edges get a coating-safe wash, no clay on the film, and the film can be ceramic coated too.
- Exposed carbon fiber: clear-coated carbon is polished like paint; satin carbon is cleaned and protected, never polished.
- Alcantara or microsuede: brushed dry, cleaned with a dedicated cleaner on a towel (never sprayed directly), then re-napped.
- Low front splitter: we work on level ground and keeps equipment clear of the nose.
What a 911 costs to detail
The 911 is priced as sedan / coupe. Prices are by vehicle size and assume normal condition. Heavy pet hair, sand, mold, smoke or neglected paint is quoted on the call, before anything is booked. No surprises on the day.
