Paint and interior on the LC

Paint and exterior

Structural Blue, Flare Yellow and Infrared show off its curves, and the long hood and rear haunches are big curved panels that need careful polishing. Carbon roofs on some coupes are clear-coated and polished like paint.

Interior

Semi-aniline leather or Alcantara, sculpted door panels and fine stitching. The convertible's top folds under a hard tonneau cover whose edges need careful cleaning, and the light leather colors show denim dye on the bolsters.

Living in Houston

Kept in garages in The Woodlands and Memorial, an LC comes out for drives to the Hill Country. Humid garage air can leave a dusty film that needs a proper wash, never a dry wipe.

• Semi-aniline or aniline leather: minimal moisture, no all-purpose cleaners, and a test spot before anything else touches it.
• Alcantara or microsuede: brushed dry, cleaned with a dedicated cleaner on a towel (never sprayed directly), then re-napped.
• Exposed carbon fiber: clear-coated carbon is polished like paint; satin carbon is cleaned and protected, never polished.
• Fabric convertible top: cleaned with a top-specific cleaner and protected, with no pressure washer on the seams.
