The eighth-generation car runs a chrome strip from each headlight up along the hood edge, and the 2024 refresh adds a full-width light bar; both need a careful wipe, not a scrub. Older Sonatas parked outside often have dull roofs and trunk lids from sun and hard water.
Interior
Cloth or synthetic leather on most trims and leather on the top ones. Recent cars had a push-button shifter in a glossy surround; the 2024 car moves the shifter to a stalk and adds a curved screen panel that collects fingerprints.
Living in Houston
A Sonata on the Westpark or 290 commute picks up brake dust on the lower doors. Love bugs in May and September stick to the wide front end and need softening before they come off.
