Hyundai Santa Fe detailing in Houston
The Santa Fe has changed shape more than any other Hyundai, from rounded two-row crossover to today's boxy three-row, and each version asks for a slightly different detail.
Paint and interior on the Santa Fe
Paint and exterior
The newest Santa Fe is a big upright box with a flat hood, a flat roof and a wide tailgate, so the roof and upper glass need a step stool. The H-shaped lights front and rear sit in plastic lenses that scuff if wiped dry. Earlier cars have softer curves and more chrome.
Interior
Two rows on the 2019 to 2023 cars, three rows on the long third-generation model and on the current one. The latest cabin has a wide flat dash and a big open cargo floor that collects sand from Galveston trips; synthetic leather is common.
Living in Houston
A current Santa Fe is the car many Richmond and Fulshear families take to the beach. Salt and sand on the lower doors and tailgate seals should be rinsed off within days.
- Third row and cargo area: both are included, which is why three-row vehicles sit in the larger size class.
- Family hauler: car-seat areas, cupholders and seat rails hold the most crumbs; pet hair is an add-on quoted on the call.
- Soft clear coat: it marks from a dirty towel or an automatic wash, so every wash is two-bucket with clean mitts, and polishing finishes down with a fine pad.
- Unpainted textured trim: it fades grey in the sun, so it is cleaned and dressed with a matte UV protectant.
What a Santa Fe costs to detail
The Santa Fe is priced as full-size truck / 3-row suv. Prices are by vehicle size and assume normal condition. Heavy pet hair, sand, mold, smoke or neglected paint is quoted on the call, before anything is booked. No surprises on the day.
