Paint and exterior

A rising beltline, sloping roof and small rear window give it a lot of door and not much glass. Contrast roofs are common, and the lower cladding on older cars fades gray in the sun.

Interior

Leather or textile seats, a rotary gear selector on first-generation cars and twin touchscreens on the second. The rear seats are tight and the small rear window keeps the back dim, so dust is easy to miss.

Living in Houston

Evoques do short city trips and park in tight garages. A few weeks without a wash in a dusty Houston summer leaves pollen film and water spots on the dark roof.
