Paint and exterior
The current car has an aluminum body, a stepped roof and an off-center rear license plate, and the tall tailgate is the panel most often missed. Older Discoverys are usually faded on the roof and hood.
Interior
Seven seats with a power-folding third row on many recent cars, lots of storage cubbies and a hidden compartment behind the climate panel. Leather or textile seats in light and dark colors.
Living in Houston
The current Discovery is a towing and family SUV, pulling boats to Lake Conroe or campers to the Hill Country, so the hitch area, rear bumper and third row take the brunt.
- Third row and cargo area: both are included, which is why three-row vehicles sit in the larger size class.
- Family hauler: car-seat areas, cupholders and seat rails hold the most crumbs; pet hair is an add-on quoted on the call.
- Tows and hauls: hitch, rear bumper and the lower panels collect road tar and brake dust, so they get iron remover and tar remover.
- Large glass roof: Houston water leaves mineral spots on it, so it is cleaned inside and out and suits the glass coating add-on.
