Paint and exterior
Second-generation SLT and Denali trucks wear a lot of chrome. The current truck moved to dark trim on AT4 and AT4X, and its black fender flares and textured bumpers turn grey in direct sun.
Interior
Earlier Canyons have hard plastics that scuff and cloth seats that hold stains. The current cabin is a big step up, with leather on Denali and a large screen set into a much cleaner dash.
Living in Houston
Plenty of Canyons around Cypress and The Woodlands go to work on weekdays and to a deer lease or the beach on weekends, so sand, mud and pine pollen all turn up in one truck.
- Pickup bed: tell us what the bed carries; spray-in liners clean up well, drop-in liners come out for the rinse.
- Unpainted textured trim: it fades grey in the sun, so it is cleaned and dressed with a matte UV protectant.
- Sees dirt roads and lease land: mud is softened and rinsed before any mitt touches the paint, and wheel wells are cleaned out.
- Cloth seats on many trims: spot-treated in every interior detail, with shampoo extraction as an add-on when they need it.
What a Canyon costs to detail
The Canyon is priced as mid suv / small truck. Prices are by vehicle size and assume normal condition. Heavy pet hair, sand, mold, smoke or neglected paint is quoted on the call, before anything is booked. No surprises on the day.
