Paint and exterior

A short, rounded body with a clamshell hood and a lot of curved glass. Matte colors were offered; the glossy ones show water spots on the hood and the steep rear glass. The clamshell's long seam line holds wax and grit.

Interior

The crystal sphere is glass-like and shows every fingerprint, so it gets a gentle wipe with its own cloth. Seats are leather or synthetic, often in light two-tone colors that show denim transfer on the driver's side within weeks.

Living in Houston

A GV60 charged at home in Katy or Sugar Land rarely sees a dealer bay. Its low front catches love bugs on the Grand Parkway, and they etch soft paint if left a week in the sun.

• Factory matte or satin paint is offered: it is never polished or waxed; it gets matte-safe soap and a matte-specific sealant or coating.
• Light-colored seats are popular: denim dye transfer and sunscreen stains are cleaned early, before they set in the heat.
• Soft clear coat: it marks from a dirty towel or an automatic wash, so every wash is two-bucket with clean mitts, and polishing finishes down with a fine pad.
• Large touchscreens: cleaned with a screen-safe, ammonia-free product and a dedicated cloth.
• Electric: there is no engine bay, but the frunk, charge port door and underbody plastics get cleaned, and washing an EV is completely safe.
