Paint and exterior

A long, formal sedan with a large crest grille and, on the current car, slim two-line light strips. The long hood and trunk lid are big flat panels where swirls and water spots show, especially on black and the dark blues.

Interior

Nappa leather, wood and metal trim, rear seats with their own controls, and soft-close doors. The rear seat area is detailed as carefully as the front, including the rear screens and the seat-back controls.

Living in Houston

A G90 in Memorial or Sugar Land usually lives in a garage, so it needs dust removal and leather care more than heavy cleaning. Afternoons in a parking lot are hardest on the leather by the rear glass.

• Nappa or fine-grain leather: cleaned with a pH-balanced leather cleaner and a soft brush, then a non-greasy conditioner.
• Black and dark colors are common: they show swirls, water spots and pollen film first, and benefit most from a coating.
• Light-colored seats are popular: denim dye transfer and sunscreen stains are cleaned early, before they set in the heat.
• Lots of chrome: Houston hard water etches it, so it is dried fully, polished where needed and sealed.
