Paint and exterior
A short, muscular sedan with a big crest grille and, since 2022, split quad lights. Matte colors have been offered, and they are never polished. Gloss black, blue and red show swirls on the hood and the short trunk lid first.
Interior
Leather or Nappa, quilted on upper trims, with sport seats that wear on the driver's outer bolster. The low roof and small rear doors make the back seat awkward to reach with a vacuum, so it is done with a long crevice tool.
Living in Houston
A G70 on a daily I-10 or Highway 59 commute collects brake dust from its sport brakes, and its low nose picks up tar spatter behind the front wheels. Garage-kept weekend cars mostly need swirl control.
- Factory matte or satin paint is offered: it is never polished or waxed; it gets matte-safe soap and a matte-specific sealant or coating.
- Nappa or fine-grain leather: cleaned with a pH-balanced leather cleaner and a soft brush, then a non-greasy conditioner.
- Black and dark colors are common: they show swirls, water spots and pollen film first, and benefit most from a coating.
- Large wheels and tall tires: wheel faces, barrels and wells take real time on this one, and it shows when they are done right.
