Paint and exterior
The one-piece clamshell hood is huge and shows swirls along its full length. The vents at the base of the rear pillars collect dust and wax, and the roof strake is often finished in a contrast color.
Interior
Leather with optional quilting, a Mercedes-derived infotainment screen and controller, and a glass start button. Soft leathers dry and crack on the bolsters if they are neglected in the heat.
Living in Houston
A DB11 kept in a Memorial or Sugar Land garage comes out for weekend drives and evenings out, so it collects garage dust more than road grime and needs gentle washing rather than scrubbing.
- Semi-aniline or aniline leather: minimal moisture, no all-purpose cleaners, and a test spot before anything else touches it.
- Often wears PPF or a wrap: film edges get a coating-safe wash, no clay on the film, and the film can be ceramic coated too.
- Black and dark colors are common: they show swirls, water spots and pollen film first, and benefit most from a coating.
- Fabric convertible top: cleaned with a top-specific cleaner and protected, with no pressure washer on the seams.
