Paint and exterior
World Rally Blue is the signature color, often with gold wheels. The hood scoop and front bumper take rock chips, the soft clear swirls easily, and many owners film the front end.
Interior
Cloth or leather with red stitching, and suede-like inserts or Recaro seats on some trims. Aftermarket gauges, pods and shifters add more seams to clean around, and the seat bolsters wear from climbing in.
Living in Houston
WRXs that see autocross days or spirited Grand Parkway drives collect brake dust, tire rubber and bugs; many are garaged to keep the paint safe.
- Soft clear coat: it marks from a dirty towel or an automatic wash, so every wash is two-bucket with clean mitts, and polishing finishes down with a fine pad.
- Alcantara or microsuede: brushed dry, cleaned with a dedicated cleaner on a towel (never sprayed directly), then re-napped.
- Often wears PPF or a wrap: film edges get a coating-safe wash, no clay on the film, and the film can be ceramic coated too.
- Low front splitter: we work on level ground and keeps equipment clear of the nose.
