Paint and interior on the Passport
Paint and exterior
Sharp body lines with black cladding on the lower panels and wheel arches. TrailSport trims come in bolder colors with orange accents, and the cladding goes chalky gray unless it is dressed.
Interior
Leather or synthetic leather on most trims, plenty of storage and a long cargo floor. TrailSport versions add orange stitching that frames any dirt around it, and the underfloor cargo bin collects sand and wet gear.
Living in Houston
Passports in Cypress and Tomball head out to hunting leases and the Sam Houston National Forest, so mud on the lower doors and packed into the wheel wells is common.
- Sees dirt roads and lease land: mud is softened and rinsed before any mitt touches the paint, and wheel wells are cleaned out.
- Unpainted textured trim: it fades grey in the sun, so it is cleaned and dressed with a matte UV protectant.
