Pontiac GTO detailing in Houston
The 2004 to 2006 GTO was an Australian-built V8 coupe sold under the Pontiac name, and the survivors in Houston are mostly weekend cars kept under a cover.

Smooth, understated bodywork with few creases, often in a bright color. The 2005 and 2006 cars have hood scoops that trap wax and polish residue, and the long doors show swirls clearly in low sun.
Interior
Leather sport buckets, sometimes with colored inserts and matching dash trim. The outer bolsters wear from twenty years of sliding in and out, and the leather dries and stiffens without conditioning.
Living in Houston
A GTO that leaves a Katy garage only on weekends can still collect a front end full of love bugs on one May drive to Brenham, and they need to come off before they etch.
- Older or single-stage paint can oxidize: a one-step polish often brings the color back before it is protected.
- Older plastic headlights yellow in the sun: headlight restoration is an add-on worth asking about.

2004 to 2006 · only generation
The 2004 cars have a smooth hood; 2005 and 2006 add the scoops and a larger V8. The rear valance and exhaust tips collect soot.
