A short, rounded body that is quick to wash, but the bulbous hood and fenders show swirls in dark colors. The chrome around the grille and windows pits if hard water dries on it.
Interior
Cloth or leatherette on most, leather on upper trims. The small cabin has lots of hard plastic and, on early cars, a button-heavy center stack that holds dust in every gap.
Living in Houston
Encores often live in uncovered apartment lots around the Energy Corridor, where pollen, bird droppings and sprinkler spray work on the small roof and hood every day.
